The Life of Troy, Football Genius

I am in sixth grade and I play football for the Duluth Tigers. I love hanging out with my best friends, Tate and Nathan. I am a football genius and I love the Atlanta Falcons. While I was on the sidelines of a Falcons game, I desperately tried to warn a player what the opposing team was about to attempt. He didn’t listen, so the Falcon’s lost and I was kicked out of the stadium for being on the sidelines too close to the players. I went to Seth Holloway’s house, the Atlanta player, and asked him to listen to my play calls that would help the Falcons win. Seth finally told the head coach about how I can predict plays before they happen and he gave me a shot. We worked together to help the Falcons win. Jamie’s dad was forced out of his coaching position, so Seth volunteered to take over as coach. He gave me a shot at quarterback, and I used my new found energy to throw the football over 45 yards into the outstretched arms of my fastest wide receiver.

Yes, as you may have have heard, I am a football genius. The football genius if you will. I predict plays before they happen, and I’m never wrong. I can predict the play no matter the team, player, or position. I’m trying to help the Falcons win using my gift but just cause I’m a kid everyone ignores me. I could have helped them win against the Cowboys but Bryan Scott wouldn’t listen to me. I know I have a gift and I’m planning to use it.

My greatest enemy is Jamie. His dad coaches our team so he’s the starting quarterback instead of me. Jamie is bigger than me but I am a better football player in every way but that’s not how his dad sees it. “The offensive line didn’t give Jamie enough time. The receiver didn’t catch it.” That’s all I hear from his dad, the coach, who thinks his son can do no wrong.

My favorite sport is football. I’m the second string quarterback for the Duluth Tigers but I should be first string. I can out run, out throw, and outsmart Jamie, our starting quarterback but I’m backup cause Jamie’s dad is the coach. And of course I don’t have a dad to be the coach and Jamie reminds me of that every day. Well, I’ll get to Jamie later. My favorite NFL team is the Atlanta Falcons. My mom works for the Atlanta Falcons and I get to be on the sidelines for some of their games.

My best friends are Tate and Nathan, we do everything together. Also, we all play football together. Even though Tate’s a girl she’s the best kicker on our team, eighty percent on extra points. Fifty-four on field goals, with a twenty six yarder last season. And Nathan, hes a big kid, and you will always find him laughing. He always has my back and I always have his. We are two peas in a pod.

My mom is the only family I know. I don’t have any brothers or sisters and my dad left us when I was young. I have no idea who my father is or what he does, nor do I care to know. well that’s about it I guess, that’s my family.
